Sports
Notre Dame Junior School PE Programme includes all strands of the National Primary Schools PE curriculum. The emphasis is always on participation & enjoyment. Everyone is included & all have the opportunity to develop their personal skills & fitness levels.
We are very lucky to have modern indoor & outdoor facilities, which ensures PE takes place twice a week, come rain or shine! We also have a wide range of age relevant equipment which is enthusiastically enjoyed by all classes. As they progress through the school, the girls have many opportunities to participate in both team & individual sports.
Hockey
Hockey is taught in P.E. and there is now a hockey club, Notre Dame Euphrasians, available for children in classes from Senior Infants upwards. Some of the parents are have been kind enough to give up some of their time to help encourage and facilitate the love of hockey in the school. The girls participate in tournaments and matches against other schools throughout the year. There is also free hockey coaching for all the girls at lunchtime and after school from Second Class up and the fifth and sixth class.

The Junior School entered the Leinster Hockey League this year and have won their first game against Divine Word. Well done to the girls, Miss Doran and the parent/guardian volunteers.
Basketball
Des Fitzgerald, the Irish coach, takes basketball coaching on Wednesdays with fifth and sixth classes and Thursdays with fourth class.
