School Day

The school day begins at 8.55am for all pupils and finshes at 12.30pm for Montessori, 2pm for Junior Infants(K1) and 2.50pm for all other pupils. On half days, K1 to P2 finish at 12.45pm and P3 to P6 finish at 1pm.

The school building is generally open from 8.00am to facilitate working parents. Younger pupils can be escorted to their classrooms by our Morning Drop Off initiative from 8.30am where our sixth class minders will keep them safe until the teacher arrives. Please consult section under "Initiatives".

Once in the classroom, older pupils are expected to take down their chairs, choose a book/game or just chat with their classmates and sit down. Pupils are not allowed to leave their classrooms without permission from this time.  

In the mornings we request that parents do not stay in the classrooms, or wait to chat to teachers as they enter their classrooms. This is for Health & Safety purposes. Parent teacher meetings should be organised through the office or by note in your daughter's journal. Thank you for your co-operation.
