Keeping Connections

Although the Notre Dame Convent Sisters are no longer directly involved with the school, we do include them in school life(masses, assemblies, concerts, visits) and continue to support their great missionary work abroad. For this year, we have the following initiatives

  • Sr. Carmel plans to visit our P2 girls as they prepare for Communion.
  • Our hope is to create stronger links with other ex-Notre Dame congregation schools abroad.

  • We will have cultural visits from Sr. Lucia, originally from Kenya, currently living in the convent about projects in her home country that we could support.
  • Sisters are invited to attend school religious events and concerts or just drop in if passing.
  • Our P3 girls with teacher Miss Walsh will visit the convent at Christmas to sing carols. The girls from P1 and P3 also sang carols in Dundrum and raised money for the missionary orphange in Bangladesh.
  • Other classes will visit the convent to see the chapel, talk to the Sisters about life in a convent etc.
